I got wood!! Yes! The wood stock kit came in and I am excited! I actually haven’t decided on an upper yet. I am taking suggestions at this point. 🙂 The Rusty’s Rags worked great and I highly recommend them.

Sweet build!! If you shoot CMP matches and have ever used a well used M1 Garand that has shiny polished wood it slides all over the place and it's difficult to shoot well I think that's why they did that to the stock so that it'll grip your face better

I never knew u could put wood furniture on an ar15 until just recently. being the traditionalist that I am it just makes me fall more in love with the ar15, cuz I prefer wood stocks to synthetic in most situations.

I would like to get wood furniture for an AR15 also, but I have not had much luck. I know Brownells sell them at $180, but I'm looking something a little rougher, like yours here.

haha, mixed emotions are born on the internet 🙂 But I love the wood stock and there is no difference in performance. If anything wood does better than plastic as far as heat is concerned. I appreciate you watching!

Man I really like the wood furniture , the butt looks like the grain is more open than the handguards , it would prolly improve with some sanding but I don't think it's going to get rid of all of that ,and not worth the effort , the silocone was a deffinate improvment. that wood furniture is making me want a 556 now ,I never really cared for the black rifle thing Thanks for shareing Tony

@27dcx I think it is walnut. I started to buy a Palmetto upper but they are out of stick at the moment. Can't find one. Need to look more!

WOW, that looks like it will change the looks of an AR, i relly like the way I invision wood looking. It makes it look more classic, but it is an AR. HAHAHAhAHAH!
