Good video, but for the love of all that is holy, STAY ON POINT! This could have been a 1 part video but you kept running down other subjects.
Can I do this to a m&p 15 sport 2
Hi, nice video, i'm trying to remove the pins from my ruger's ar556 front sight, but is very difficult, that's possible that they lock inside the hole by glue?
well' my comment is….the designed beauty of the gun is lost.
If you don't have a plastic site block, I find that a block of styrofoam works great to knock the pins out. It has the added benefit of holding the pins so they don't get away from you.
These videos just made my day
I would like to remind everyone that the barrel nut on M16 pattern rifles has historically not been torqued – only aligned with the gas tube.
Amazing Dude.. Helps Alot !! 🙂
I have an R4 chrome lined, 16", 1:9 barrel (5.56 NATO) and I want to replace the sight with a low profile gas block. Is there a gas block size i need to worry about? Cool video, by the way! Thank you!
God dammit!!!
Excellent info…thank you.
Aligning the gas block by eye seems a bid dodgy. Is there a more acceptable way?
Many things maybe not said or not demonstrated but…as gun owners or assemblers its our job to do the research through not one but several sources.
hope this guy is not building ar's for his friends…
are you fuckin serious dude no torque wrench???
Man the old days of big fat quad rails…😖😖
You do not push the gas block all the way back. You need to leave a gap where the handguard cap normally would go. Chances are your gas block is out of alignment.
Great Video!!! All the haters who were over critical make me sick…. if you know so much… why are you watching a how to video. And if you can do better, where's your video. That's the thing about guns and shooters. Everybody can't wait to talk over the next guys head and shit on someone else's build. Like I said… great video it helped out a bunch.
Thanks so much for your part 1 and part 2 video. I've just subscribed. I'm a new AR owner here, and after shooting mine, I'd like to start middling mine. this video just gave me huge confidence in doing it myself. love the free float and I'm going to go with one as well.
I really liked your video. You were the only video that I found that actually went step by step on how to put the free float on. Thank you!
Thanks for making this video. I've watched a few tutorials about replacing the gas block and they made it sound like reinstalling the gas tube was a scary process. I can see though that it really isn't that bad and you're unlikely to mess it up if you pay attention.
hey thanks man this helped alot
Thanks for the video you got me rolling in the right direction p.s haters going to hate regardless keep up the good work.
I recently purchased my first AR. I knew I wanted a low-profile gas block and a free floating rail, and parts one and two of these videos answered my questions. Thank you!!
Nice job, and nice video – these other guys that complain about no torque and no anti seeze, no thread seal,, they can use all they'd like = i've done 10 of these switches and never used any of that stuff – they obviously have too much time on their hands and little practical experience, and they can suck on it
is there a gas block that I can use that will cover up that cut in the barrel if I do swat out the A2 sight then fit a carbine length forend?
Great video, but the barrel is held on by the barrel nut, not the delta ring. The delta ring is attached to the barrel nut. And please for heavens sake torque the barrel nut between 30 and 80 foot lbs!! hate to see a catastrophic misshap.
Awesome info!! Mystery on how to do this is over. Sorta like knowing how a magic trick works 🙂 Anyway, thank you for the info.
torque, torque, torque!
Jeeze… please do not accept any requests to build a rifle for someone. For safety's sake, please follow proper procedures.
Good luck.
Very informative, thank you.
hehe, gas hole
but seriosuly, very informative videos (pts. 1 and 2) so thank you for these
great video learned a lot thank you
I'm new to the AR ownership and got a colt ce2000 to build on is this a poor choice for a carbine to build? If so should I look into buying a new one? Appreciate the video.
Damn makes me want to do it myself!! seems easy enough! No reason to pay gunsmith 65 to do it.Thanks man
Great vid!
4:16 Gasshole hahahaha ……..FUCK YOU
Did the head of your tee wrench break off?
Aren't you supposed to torque down the barrel nut with a torque wrench?
SORRY I READ THE PRIOR COMMENTS THAT HAVE ALREADY ANSWER THIS QUESTION, THANKS ANYWAYS
Nic Taylor00 very helpful video. By the way if I wanted to put a full size float fore grip would it also work with the mid-length gas block? thank in advance
Far and away the best YT video covering this topic.
what brand armorers wrench did you use?
Hi, novice here. I have the Eagle Arms AR15 with a 7 inch handgrip. Id like to do this but with a longer grip covering most of the barrel is that possible?
