  1. I'm guessing that you're not a fan of the 3x Magnifier/RDS combo?  I blew a bunch of money on my pair and really wish that I had just bought a 1-8 variable power scope, anyone else out there feel the same?  I was told on multiple forums to purchase a scope instead, should've listened!

  2. Funny no mention of the ACOG…while pricey, it makes shooting so much fun. At 100m hitting the bull is routine. I was laughing and telling some other shooters it makes it as easy as a video game. I hope to try the bullet compensation this year with some longer range shooting in Idaho.

  3. I love how all these sidewalk commandos want a 24mm Obj. w/ "True 1X"! As if that gives em an edge in a real world fight. Yeah try that combo after dark  The same is true for a RD, a cheap RD is your worst enemy.  Walk away from these 3-Gun Fap Optics that only work in daylight!Get a 2-7X32 or 3-9X40 illuminated in your price range, Leupold makes a bunch of em.

  4. I really!! need professional input on this. I want flip up iron sights on my ar and a red dot sight that will co witness and a scope mounted on a 45% just in case. I'd like to add I have an ar for the practicality not amusement what do you think? can it be done?

  5. What about these "3X fold away" scopes that are used in combination with the red-dots? You use the red-dot in close situations then fold in the 3X & use both for more distant shots.

  6. Vortex Strike Eagle 1x6x24. A lot of scope for the money and true 1x. This has been the only optic for some reason that I can use both eyes open. But again it is a sweet optic!

  7. Find a 1-4×24 optic that you like and you can afford. I prefer the Trijicon Accupoint TR24 1-4×24 with the green triangle dual illuminated riticule. This optic is not only light, but makes fast CQB shots easy, and handles 300+ yards with ease…… And yes, it is $800+, but just like Surefire. Buy once cry once.

  8. why didn't you say the brand for the 3-12 scope. i typed on the search on google, it came out "UTG 30mm SWAT 3-12X44 Compact IE Scope". It's totally confusing, if the name your saying, isn't what comes out on searches. Brand name is needed, so we can get it right.

  9. i'm looking at a scope package, one comes with a 3x9x40 scope and a red dot the other is a 4-12×50 scope with a red dot. what is the difference in the scopes? i don't know anything about scopes or long distance shooting but want to do long and short distance shooting with one weapon

  10. Love Aimpoints…however the Trijicon ACOG TA44S got the nod for me…gives a small magnification with ridiculous eye relief…makes it a very effective setup out to 200yrds

  11. I note the use of "close range and long range", but no definitions. I'd enjoy hearing their thoughts about where the line between the two is, in their opinions. 🙂
