I go over the pros/cons of buying just a BCM AR-15 upper or upper lower separately vs. buying a complete rifle.

  1. I’m looking into getting there complete upper assembly to create a dmr/spr rifle and I heard you said that they are not cold hammer forged just cmv, does it matter that is not cold hammer forged or do I need it to make a dmr/spr setup? And also is the the enhance light weight better then the government profile barrel better for this setup?

  2. Hello I recently purchased a BCM lower. Getting ready to order my BCM Socom upper. In your opinion, " me " Buying them separately… should I be worried about a sloppy fit meaning receiver wobble, excessive space between receivers ? Is BCM known for having tight fitting uppers and lowers ?

  3. Hey Mrgunsngear, I've learned so much from this channel, so don't take this as a mansplain…but the 11% excise tax on firearms and ammunition is a provision put in place by the Pittman-Robertson act of 1937. (You probably know this…mainly speaking to your viewers new to shooting) Most of the habitat and wildlife restoration done in the US is funded by this provision. Its pretty fun to point out to a misguided cloud of patchouli that the shooting community is actually responsible for the majority of funding to keep our wild places wild and our game plentiful. Not sure if skirting this tax might do us a disservice in the long run. Anyway, thanks for all your truth nuggets over the years…rock on.

  4. I had no idea about that damn tax. Government pisses me off more and more. I bought a BCM 18" upper and have it paired with a random lower. Love it! I Would like an ACOG to throw on top…maybe one day.

  5. Thank you !!
What do you think of the new fluted ehlw and I forgot to mention I would be running a Surefire can on my rifle 50% of the time and is it true if you run a suppressor the standard barrels do better or is that just hillbillies got access to the Internet and wanted to act like they were smarter than they really were and also does one barrel preform better in the cold like Minnesota cold just was just wondering I have no exsperance with lightweight barrels and when ordering a BCM upper and lower both from BCM is there ever a chance the black finishes will look different?
Thanks again you always have great video straight to the point good info and never boring !!!!!one of my top 3 favorite channels to watch

  6. Really good video
Mr.gunsngear I have a question I'm ordering a BCM 14.5 kmr complete upper and lower I can't decide what barrel profile to go with it's between the standard bhf or the elw-f . This will be my only AR for now and I do run my rifle hard (no mag dumps ) I put about 500rds to 700rds down range every week doing different exercises with my rifle I probably will take two or three classes with it this year my question is how does the enhanced lightweight barrel hold up with a lot of use with accuracy sense it's going to be my only rifle for now I want to put together a good solid fighting rifle or all out go to rifle what would you suggest for barrel profile with what I am doing
Can't wait to get it sold my ddm4a1
My buddy let me try out his BCM recce 14 kmr mk2 elwf

  7. love BCM uppers, and have to buy them separate in the communist state of CT, where we are forced to buy pre ban lowers.  The only upside is that we can match them to any (given they are of proper length) upper we decide.  All of my AR 15s are built on BCM uppers and BCG they rock!!

  8. When it comes to rifles for tasks such as home defense or a rifle to have in your vehicle with you, do you prefer factory built rifles over your own builds? Or do you trust your builds equally to a factory built gun? I've heard so much back and forth on why people should only depend on factory built guns and vise versa. Any opinion would be appreciated!

  9. I bought a BCM complete upper with a 15" KMR Alpha rail and CHF 16" barrel and put it on a PSA complete lower that came with Magpul MOE SL furniture. The lower was on sale with free shipping for $160. Swapped out the trigger for a Geissele SD-E trigger and I love it. I'm running an ACOG with the ACSS reticle and offset XS sights and couldn't be happier.
