I'm looking at putting the UBR Gen2 on a PSA build. It's an 18" barrel with a rifle length gas system. What buffer and spring would you recommend? I'm getting mixed answers; some say I need a H2 buffer and others say stay with a regular carbine buffer. Any advise would really help. Thanks!

ive had one. i really liked it besides if you have the money the Gen 2 goes for about 190.00. kinda spendy but its totally worth it. Im looking to get the PRS GEN 3 in a couple days so its time for a change

Does the UBR require the carbine length buffer and spring? I'm assuming it doesn't come with it?

Ha ha, I finally get to use "serendipitous" in a sentence in a meaningful way. I found your video of the Magpul UBR stock to be quite serendipitous. I've been slowly modifying my Ruger AR556 to suit my current preferences and i've been considering all day long how I might modify my current stock, the factory Mil Spec style multi position plastic fantastic that came with the rifle. As this is my first, and only, AR at the moment, Ruger AR 556 MPR I'm looking at you!, I have to share it with my wife who also loves to shoot. Thank God for Southern Girls!!! Anyway, she likes the stock in a different position than I do when she shoots while standing and I have been puzzling how to rig the stock so that it would default to one of the 2 open positions rather than having to move it through each position. I think I have a good idea on how to accomplish this, but low and behold, I get home, sit down at the desk and pop open youtube and there in my recommended videos 'ole sootch is testing a magpul stock that has a wonderfully robust solution to my problem. Pricey, but I think it's destined for my project. Thanks sootch, love your channel, your content and the whole "core" youtube gun channel content provider group, you, mrgunsandgear, MAC, Garand Thumb, IraqVet, Hickock, etc… What a great community. Would love to have you all down to the most gorgeous new Range in these here United States, that's right, the new CMP range in Talladega Alabama. Is there any chance that a group of youtube firearm content providers might get together at some point in the future at a place like the CMP for a meet and greet? Would love to have it coincide with a manufacturer event or maybe one of the CMP marquis events. Long Live the Republic!

Just wanted to add that I really like your closing message on all your vids. I’m an immigrant from England and had to jump through many, many hoops to be able to live here legally. I’ve always been a republican since a small kid (I really was born in the wrong country, wasn’t I). Always felt welcome here too by just about everyone – I’ll never take the USA for granted.. just got mine. strike plate showed up same day too. really like this stock. want more. weight doesn't seem to be an issue for me. this strike plate looks mean as hell. it didn't look like the new ubr coming out could accept the strike plate.
The carbine buffer is that something you have to buy separately or would a standard buffer set up work?
