I do some shooting with the new 800 lumen Streamlight TLR-1 HL. I also do a beam comparison with a Surefire X300U and 2nd generation (300 lumen) TLR-1 and go over all the features the light has to offer.

  1. This is such a great light, simple yet very well made. It is on my list of precious things I have owned. You can mount it on basically any platform, and without tools. It's currently mounted on my AR handguard, all I have to do is flick it on and boys, I'd like to introduce you to the komodo 3000.

  2. Recommend running this on a concealed carry weapon? Or is it too much added weight and bulk? I always carry a flashlight, trying to decide if it's worth adding a weapons light to my carry gun. Thanks

  3. thanks for the video. I got mines at Primary arms for 103 Dollars that's shipping and all. thanks for the video I'm going to put this on my Springfield Trp operator. I got allot of surefire batteries. but I think I'm going with the streamlight batteries or the Energizer batteries on this light

  4. super tech question, where did you get the bandana?  I just bought the tlr hl 800, thank you for your time and effort to post, I've been putting off since 2009 but your review tipped balance.  Why would a strobe be used, I'm assuming to disorient the threat (more likely me weave and plop onto floor ha ha).

  5. Best light in the game no matter the price nor the platform youre installing it on……i just learned you can disable the strobe feature as well…hit momentary ten times fast and hold it until it blinks on the last one

  6. anyone recommend putting this on an ar15? I know the daily shooter uses a trl (I forgot which one and how old the video is). I just need something for HD and don't need a fancy $200 light

  7. what would u recommend for the CZ P07 AND THE CZ SDP COMPACT. I KNOW IF I GET A LIGHT IT'S MAINLY GOING TO BE FOR THE PO7, but interchangeability would be good imho.

i need dependability cost is secondary, but still an issue since i'm on a fixed income. thx.
