  1. You don't need to make your AR any heavier and bulkier(or unnecessarily spend more money) by adding the cloud tac mount. The provided zip ties are meant to wrap around the groves at each end of the switch pad securing it TIGHTLY to the picatinny "rubbery" rail mounts that came with the light(which by the way are lighter and lower profile than the cloud mount). 1200 rounds later, still holding. AR's are meant to be light/nimble weapons. Every ounce counts. Good luck.

  2. I have the ProTac 1 and it's really all you need unless you're an operational Operator, operating operationally. 350 lumens inside a dark building, or more likely your home is more than bright enough, there Is a "hotspot" and the reflection off a white wall Will blind you, as well as any unwelcome night visitors. Who is shooting 100+ yards at night without night vision anyway? Home defense=ProTac1. O-O,O-ing O-ly…Surefire or ProTac 2.

  3. I have a rail mount 1 on my mk18 pistol and I’m waiting for my cloud defensive lcs from Black Friday, definitely an affordable option that performs very well, had the light for a year and no issues

  4. Have a Rail Mount 1 on my home defense AR pistol. Love it, but couldn't get the pressure switch to fit well on top of a rail without get feeling really chunky. I ended up using the included 3M tape, and it's been solid for me (but it's not sitting out in the rain or dust normally). I also twisted my switch around, so momentary is closer to me and I have to reach for the constant. Cloud Defensive looks nice. Great video!

  5. love my X-1000 and I run the same Cloud Tac. mount for the pressure switch. For the money nothing can touch them and in case anyone thinks Streamlight isn't the peer of Surefire: I've been running Streamlight in the Fire/Rescue INdustry for over 15 years (I have basically a TLR-3 on my helmet) and they're all still running strong. Everything breaks, Streamlight is a good company, as is Surefire (although IMO Surefire is overpriced and kind of full of their own brand name).

  6. PSA: most lights that require 2 cr123 batteries can also use a single 16650, (same diameter and length as 2 cr123's) i use 16650 batteries (like $7 each from ilumn) in my m600 scout ultra as well as my original 6p (the 6p has a 1000 lumen LED drop in instead of the p60 lamp)
