In February 2018, a small church in Pennsylvania gained international attention when they held a blessing ceremony with AR-15’s just two week after the Parkland School shooting triggered mass gun reform debates across the US. But where did this small fringe sect of Christianity come from and why are they now taking up arms for God? In this episode of Believers, host Charlet Duboc meets Pastor Sean Moon and the believers of the World Peace and Unification Sanctuary, a church that has origins in Korea, is based in the US, and has been accused of being a cult to understand why they believe they need guns to build God’s Kingdom on Earth.

  1. Where are the African Americans and the Latinos in this cult of judges juries and executioners !! Are the crusaders getting ready for an assault on Atheists ,Buddhists or Islamists in the name of Jesus Christ. Most of the Nazi hierarchy were CHRISTIANS and look what their ideology brought to this world !!!

  2. Exhibit 1A of why large-scale gun confiscation is not feasible in the United States. Any attempt to disarm a group like this would require a military operation and end in a massacre; political suicide for whichever party orders it.

Now scale-up to ONE HUNDRED MILLION gun owners: tens of thousands of casualties. It would take a full blown Stalin-esque dictatorship to do it. Not gonna happen in the foreseeable future.

  3. He is not working in the way True Father would have done, this is false to the true Unification Church and not the true teaching of the Devine Principle. He is not my second King or king in fact my only โ€œKingโ€ even thought he way not that vain and conceited was his Father โ€œTrue Fatherโ€ โ€œSun myung moonโ€. He is not teaching the word of GOD through the Divine Principle

Good documentary. The best church and pastor Sean Moon. They really look at the world and what surrounds us.
It seems that they are condemned only by those who are interested in this or abnormal.
I really like what they do, well done!

  5. Pretty much proof that you can make the scriptures say anything you want. Didnt jesus say the kingdom of heaven was inside us? Guess they conveniently forgot that part…why are there so many religious lunatics in the world?

  6. surprising, that a VICE piece wasn't wholly anti-gun and blatant hitpiece. leaves it more of a 'question,' even though VICE's hoplophobia is no secret for those familiar with political leanings of regime and State Dipshitment mouthpiece that's become of VICE the multi-billion dollar den of presstitutes that's anything but 'anti-establishment' who's co-owned by Murdoch/Hearst/A&E/History, Disney, Bill Maher/HBO/Time-Warner: your basic corporatist terrorist propagandist asshole legion.
