  1. I'm curious about this mostly: what are the differences between the MI Combat HD rail vs the MI Night Fighter Rail. I know the MI Combat HD is a marriage of the Combat Rail and the Night Fighter Rail, but then what edge does the HD have over the Night Fighter?

  2. I have a 300blk with the MI suppressor rail and am currently building a 5.56 14.5 with their 13.5 combat rail. Love MI. Wish the HD rail was out before I ordered the Combat Rail. New one looks good!

  3. Midwestern Industries was great before they upped the price of everything and stopped being a go to budget brand. Now they’re as much as a Geissele and Radian

  4. Yeah no, I dont care for their screw in locking system, looks like they screw in directly in the aluminium, even if there are helicoils, I feel like its a very iffy design when so many greater options exists.

  5. I have a few combat rails, and the anti rotation tabs are pretty much useless. There is so much of a gap between them and the receiver that theyll never work for holding zero with anything. The ones i use ive drilled holes in the center and put them on adm uppers so i can put an anti rotation pin in between them, because without it they always twist. Their lock up needs to get revised before i get anymore rails from them.

  6. Problem with alot of companies rails is they use different materials from rail to barrel nut and they heat and cool differently and creates an issue with loosening or getting some wiggle, same with gas blocks. Just because material may be better/stronger doeant always mean it's better. Can't change a single part and expect it to be perfect without effecting something else, its a system of sorts

  7. My only complaint with midwest rails is that the bottom on the rail is so tight, that you can't put any accessories like a forgrip under the gas block, because the mlok screws will butt against it, which will add pressure against the barrel.
