Break in periods are IMO a necessity due to moving parts needing to wear in and find their smooth or sweet spot; especially in hand fitted componentry. If it takes more than 500 rounds there is a manufacturing tolerance issue.
I am seriously considering a new Tisas 1911 DS as a 2011 build platform. I am attracted by the price and the positive reviews that are steadily flowing around the YT gun tuber universe as of late.
